How to monetize your dress
- List it. Upload a photo of your dress, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
- Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
- Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
- Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a dress auction.
Get paid to put ads on your dress
Post dated photos of the full look, plus links to the event photos or your posts that show the dress and logos.
Tips
- A sash or pin you remove later keeps the dress wearable again. Do not cut or print on a dress you rent.
- Say the event and the dress code. A sponsor wants to know the room you will be in.
- Some events and venues ban branded clothing, so ask the host before you list.
Questions
Will logos ruin the look?
Not if you keep them small and on theme. You approve every design before bidding closes.
Can I sell spots on a rented dress?
Only with removable items like a sash, pin or bag. Read the rental terms first.
Do I have to post about it?
If proof means posting, yes, and add #ad or a paid partnership label.
How do brands find my dress?
List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.
Who sets the price?
Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.
When do I get paid?
The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.
Can brands bid against each other instead?
Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
