How to monetize your laptop

- Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
- Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
- Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a laptop auction.
Get paid to put ads on your laptop
Post a dated photo of the lid with each sticker, plus a screenshot of the wallpaper or call background. If you speak or stream, add a link to the recording.
Tips
- Use removable vinyl stickers so the lid comes clean when a deal ends and resale value stays intact.
- If the laptop belongs to your employer or school, check their device policy first. Many ban stickers or custom wallpapers on managed machines.
- Say where the laptop goes. A lecture hall of 300, a busy coworking floor or a talk stage is what a sponsor is paying for.
Questions
Will stickers void my warranty?
Stickers on the outside do not usually affect a warranty, but cheap adhesive can leave residue. Use removable vinyl and avoid covering vents.
Can I sell spots on a work laptop?
Only if your employer allows it. Company devices often have rules against stickers and personal promotion, so ask first or use a personal machine.
Do I need to disclose the sponsor on calls or videos?
If you post content where the logo is shown because you were paid, add a clear #ad or sponsored label. The FTC expects it in the US.
How do brands find my laptop?
List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.
Who sets the price?
Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.
When do I get paid?
The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.
Can brands bid against each other instead?
Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
