Your pickup truck goes to the hardware store, the lake and the job site, and it sits high enough that people notice it. Pin the tailgate, bed rails or doors, get your price, and let local businesses come to you.

How to monetize your pickup truck

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your pickup truck, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a pickup truck auction.

Get paid to put ads on your pickup truck

Post dated photos of each spot and one short clip of the truck at a place you visit often, like the job site or the boat ramp.

Tips

  • Tailgates on many pickups are textured or curved, so measure the flat area before you promise a sponsor a size.
  • If you tailgate at games or show up at off road meets, say so. That is a crowd a sponsor can picture.
  • Use a hitch cover or tonneau cover for spots you can remove without touching paint.

Questions

Can a sponsor logo go on my tonneau cover?

Yes. Vinyl decals stick well to hard covers. Soft covers need a print made for fabric.

What if I use the truck for work too?

That is fine, but if your own business logo is already on it, avoid selling spots to its competitors.

Will a decal hurt resale value?

Quality removable vinyl usually comes off cleanly within a year or two. Leaving it on for many years can leave a faint outline.

How do brands find my pickup truck?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
