How to monetize your van
- List it. Upload a photo of your van, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
- Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
- Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
- Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a van auction.
Get paid to put ads on your van
Post dated photos of each panel, plus a short clip from wherever the van spends most of its time, whether that is a campsite or the school pickup line.
Tips
- Side panels on vans flex and have ridges. Measure the smooth area before you list a size.
- If you live in your van and post the trip online, mention it. Sponsors may pay more when the van also shows up in your photos.
- Avoid placing a magnet over the sliding door seam, where it can catch or scratch.
Questions
Can I sell ads on my camper van?
Yes. Many van lifers sell a rear door or spare tire cover. Check any campground or parking rules about commercial signage.
Should I use magnets or vinyl?
Magnets for short deals, removable vinyl for a few months. Both avoid a permanent wrap.
Do I need to tell my insurer?
It is worth a quick call. Most policies do not care about a decal, but some treat paid advertising as commercial use.
How do brands find my van?
List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.
Who sets the price?
Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.
When do I get paid?
The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.
Can brands bid against each other instead?
Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
