If you run a Facebook group, you control the space a brand would love to reach: the cover, the welcome post, a weekly thread. Pin those spots on a screenshot of the group, get your prices, and list it. Brands find it and ask for a spot.

How to monetize your Facebook group

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your Facebook group, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a Facebook group auction.

Get paid to put ads on your Facebook group

Post dated screenshots of the cover, the featured post or the thread as members see it. Include the comment count or post views if Facebook shows them to you.

Tips

  • Write the sponsor rule into your group rules first. Members accept ads better when they know the admins set the terms and keep them rare.
  • Only pick sponsors your members would ask about anyway. One spammy sponsor can cost you more members than the spot is worth.
  • Mark every sponsored post as sponsored in the text, and use Meta's branded content tag where your group has it.

Questions

Am I allowed to sell ads in my own group?

Group rules are set by admins, so you decide. Facebook's community standards and branded content policies still apply to what you post.

What if I share admin duties?

Agree with your other admins before you list spots, including how money is split. A group with unhappy admins does not keep a sponsor long.

Can members also sell in the group?

That is your call. Many admins sell one sponsor spot and keep a free promo day for members so ads do not take over.

How do brands find my Facebook group?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
