How to monetize your headphones

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your headphones, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a headphones auction.

Get paid to put ads on your headphones

Post a dated photo of you wearing the headphones with both cups visible, plus links to streams or clips where they appear.

Tips

  • Use thin vinyl skins made for your model. Thick stickers on ear cups can block vents and change the sound.
  • Tell sponsors which side faces your camera. Most streamers only show one cup.
  • If you DJ in public, ask the venue whether sponsor logos are allowed on stage before you sell the spot.

Questions

Will a skin affect noise cancelling?

It can if it covers the outer microphones. Leave mic holes and touch sensors clear.

Can a sponsor be another audio brand?

Yes, but a rival logo on a branded headset looks odd. Accessory and app brands usually fit better.

What about headphones I wear at work?

Follow your employer's dress and equipment rules. Keep sponsored gear for your own streams and personal time.

How do brands find my headphones?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
