Advertise on my road trip.

A road trip has a car, a route and a camera running. Pin spots on the car, the gear and the trip videos, get your prices, and let brands along the way come to you. Small towns and roadside businesses often like being part of the story.

How to monetize your road trip

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your road trip, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a road trip auction.

Get paid to put ads on your road trip

Post photos of the car with the decals in different places, and links to the videos and the route stop.

Tips

  • Use removable magnets or window vinyl, especially on a rental. Check the rental terms first.
  • Share your route in the listing. Businesses on the way will bid for a stop.
  • Do not film while driving. Keep content stops safe.

Questions

Can I put ads on a rental car?

Only if the rental terms allow it. Many do not. Removable magnets are the safest bet.

How do route stops work?

The business wins the spot, you visit and film it. List how long the stop is.

What if we change the route?

Tell route stop sponsors early. Proof needs to match what you agreed.

How do brands find my road trip?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
