How to monetize your scooter

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your scooter, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a scooter auction.

Get paid to put ads on your scooter

Post dated photos of each spot with the scooter parked at your usual spots, plus a short clip of your daily route.

Tips

  • A top box is the easiest spot to sell because it is flat and removable.
  • Tell sponsors where you park most. A scooter outside a busy campus for six hours is the real value.
  • If you ride for a delivery app, check its rules on third party branding first.

Questions

Can I sell ads on a vintage scooter?

Yes, but use a removable top box or seat cover so the original paint stays untouched.

What size logo fits?

Most leg shields and top boxes take a logo about the size of a paperback book.

Do I need a business licence?

For small one off deals usually not, but rules vary by city. Keep records of what you earn for tax.

How do brands find my scooter?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
