How to monetize your skateboard
- List it. Upload a photo of your skateboard, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
- Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
- Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
- Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a skateboard auction.
Get paid to put ads on your skateboard
Post a dated photo of the board and kit, plus links to clips where the logo is visible.
Tips
- Decks wear out fast, so put the sponsor on grip and kit as well, not only the bottom graphic.
- Mark sponsored clips as ads on social media, as the FTC and most platforms expect.
- Local skate shops often pay in gear. You can still list a cash price and let them bid.
Questions
What happens if I snap the deck mid deal?
Put the sticker on your next deck and post a new photo. Tell the sponsor right away.
Do I need to be sponsored already?
No. This is how many skaters get a first sponsor, by showing exactly what they offer.
Can a minor sell spots?
This is for adults only. Under 18 skaters should not list here.
How do brands find my skateboard?
List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.
Who sets the price?
Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.
When do I get paid?
The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.
Can brands bid against each other instead?
Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
