Your storefront has windows, a door and a sidewalk out front. A nearby business that does not compete with yours may pay to be on it. Pin the spots, get your price, and let them come to you.

How to monetize your storefront

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your storefront, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a storefront auction.

Get paid to put ads on your storefront

Post dated photos of each spot from the sidewalk and at the counter. For bags, photo a stamped stack.

Tips

  • Only take sponsors that do not compete with what you sell.
  • Check your lease and city rules. Many limit window coverage and sidewalk signs.
  • Sidewalk boards often need a permit and must leave room for people to pass.

Questions

Will ads confuse my customers?

Keep sponsor spots small and clearly separate from your own sign.

Do I need my landlord's OK?

Most retail leases cover signs, so yes, ask first.

Can I sell space on my shopping bags?

Yes. A stamp or sticker on plain bags is cheap and easy to swap.

How do brands find my storefront?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
