Advertise on my WiFi network.

Everyone nearby who opens their WiFi list reads your network name. At a cafe, event, office or busy apartment block, that name is a small sign. Rename it for a sponsor, add a sponsor to your login page if you run one, and let brands come to you.

How to monetize your WiFi network

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your WiFi network, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a WiFi network auction.

Post a dated screenshot of the WiFi list showing the network name from a nearby phone, plus screenshots of the login page and a photo of any table card.

Tips

  • Keep names under 32 characters and plain. Some phones cut long names or strip symbols.
  • Never sell a spot on a network you do not control. Office, school and landlord WiFi need written permission.
  • Check your internet provider's terms. Some home plans ban commercial use or captive pages.

Questions

Is this the same as a WiFi ad network?

No. Nothing is injected into anyone's browsing. A brand pays for the network name and your own login page if you run one.

Can I rename my home WiFi for a sponsor?

Yes if it is your router. Neighbours will see the name. Keep it clean, and use a guest network if you share the password.

Does a captive login page need a privacy notice?

If it collects emails or other data, yes in most places. Keep the page simple or follow local privacy law.

How do brands find my WiFi network?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
