Great North Run kit listed in nine placements with none claimed
Tom Ford priced nine printed placements on his shirt, shorts and socks for the Great North Run on 13 September 2026, from £100 per sock to £1,200 for the chest, and pledged a quarter of the money to Dementia UK. A package covering every placement cost £3,150. His launch post drew about 73,000 views, yet the site still showed no placement claimed and no £5 supporters when checked on 28 October.

Lessons
- High view counts do not guarantee buyers; a £1,200 chest spot needs a pitch aimed at specific brands.
- One week between launch and the artwork deadline left very little selling time.
- A low priced supporter option is only useful if the page gives people a reason to use it.
