Readers come back to your blog because they trust what you write. That trust is what a sponsor wants to sit next to. Screenshot a post, pin the spots, get your price and list it. Brands find it and ask for a spot.

How to monetize your blog

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your blog, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a blog auction.

Get paid to put ads on your blog

Post a dated screenshot of the live post or page with the sponsor visible, and the post URL. If the spot runs on many posts, include two or three example links.

Tips

  • Pick one evergreen post that keeps getting search visits and sell spots on that, not on last week's post.
  • Add a clear disclosure like sponsored or paid partnership near the sponsor. The FTC expects it.
  • A category takeover works well for blogs with clear sections, because the sponsor gets a topic, not just a page.

Questions

Is this a sponsored post?

Not unless you choose that. The spots here are placements like a logo, a line or a box. You keep writing your own content.

Do I have to disclose the sponsor?

Yes. Paid placements need a clear label like sponsored, close to the placement, so readers know.

What if I switch my blog theme?

Keep the spot in the same place for the length of the deal. If you must change it, tell the sponsor and post a new screenshot.

How do brands find my blog?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
