Advertise on my drone.

Your drone puts you in the sky over events, coastlines and cities, and the footage often gets shared. Pin a spot on the drone, the case or the credits of your clips, and let local brands come to you. Fly legally before you sell anything.

How to monetize your drone

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your drone, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a drone auction.

Get paid to put ads on your drone

Share links to the posted clips with the end card or credit, plus a dated photo of the drone and case with the sticker.

Tips

  • In the United States, flying for pay generally requires an FAA Part 107 certificate. Other countries have their own rules.
  • Keep stickers tiny and light. Weight and airflow matter on a drone.
  • Disclose sponsored clips on social media and on YouTube using the paid promotion setting.

Questions

Do I need a licence to sell drone sponsor spots?

If sponsorship makes the flight commercial, many countries require a commercial licence, such as Part 107 in the US. Check your local rules.

Can I fly over an event for a sponsor?

Only where it is legal and with permission from the organiser. Many venues ban drones.

Does a sticker affect flight?

A small light sticker on the shell is usually fine. Keep sensors, cameras and vents clear.

How do brands find my drone?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
