How to monetize your Twitch stream

- Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
- Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
- Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a Twitch stream auction.
Get paid to put ads on your Twitch stream
Share VODs or clips with timestamps showing the overlay and shoutouts, plus a screenshot of your panels and chat command. Keep VODs saved until the sponsor has seen them.
Tips
- Turn on the branded content setting in your stream info. Twitch requires it for sponsored streams, and it tells viewers right away.
- Do not play a sponsor's video ad as if it were a commercial break. Twitch does not allow burned-in video ads, but logos, overlays and spoken reads are fine.
- Turn down gambling sponsors. Twitch bans streaming unlicensed slots, roulette and dice sites, and a gambling logo can scare off other brands.
Questions
How is this different from Twitch ads and subs?
Twitch pays from ads, subs and Bits based on your program. A sponsor pays you directly for screen space and mentions you choose.
Do I need to be a Partner?
No. Affiliates and streamers in no program can sell sponsor spots, as long as they follow Twitch's branded content rules.
Can I keep the sponsor overlay up when I stream another game?
Usually yes. Say in the spot note whether it shows on every stream or only some.
How do brands find my Twitch stream?
List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.
Who sets the price?
Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.
When do I get paid?
The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.
Can brands bid against each other instead?
Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
