Vlogs show your real day, so products fit in without a hard sell: the coffee you drink, the bag you carry, the place you eat. Pin the spots on a thumbnail of your next vlog, get your prices, and list it. Brands find it and ask for a spot.

How to monetize your vlog

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your vlog, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a vlog auction.

Get paid to put ads on your vlog

Share the vlog link with timestamps for each placement and a screenshot of the description. Add your analytics screen after a week.

Tips

  • Say 'this part is sponsored' when the brand shows up. In a vlog, a product looks like a personal pick unless you say otherwise.
  • A paid stay or meal counts as payment too. Disclose it the same way you would a cash deal.
  • Mark paid promotion in your platform's settings, like the paid promotion box on YouTube.

Questions

Can I take free products instead of money?

Here sponsors pay with a card, but you can still mention extras like a free stay in the spot note. Disclose both.

What if I do not like the product?

Try it before you list the spot. If you would not use it on camera anyway, do not sell it. An honest vlog is what sponsors are buying.

Does it matter where I post the vlog?

Say the platform in the listing. A YouTube vlog and an Instagram vlog give the sponsor different spots.

How do brands find my vlog?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
