How to monetize your barn

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your barn, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a barn auction.

Get paid to put ads on your barn

Post a dated photo from the road with a mailbox or road sign in frame, and a closeup of the work.

Tips

  • Painted roof ads may count as signs under county zoning. Check before you paint.
  • Some older barns have historic status. Ask before changing the look of one.
  • Use a mesh banner on wood siding so it does not rot the boards.

Questions

Are barn roof ads still allowed?

It depends on county zoning and, near highways, state rules. Ask your zoning office.

Who paints it?

Usually the sponsor pays a painter. Agree on who removes it after the deal.

Can I sell spots inside an event barn?

Yes. Signs inside at weddings and parties are simpler, but ask the couple or host first.

How do brands find my barn?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
