How to monetize your house

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your house, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a house auction.

Post a dated photo of each sign taken from the street, with your house number or a street sign in frame. Add one more photo midway if the deal runs longer than two weeks.

Tips

  • Check your HOA rules and city sign ordinance first. Many limit yard signs by size, number and how many days they can stay up.
  • Say what passes your house: a school drop off route, a bus stop, a walking trail. Sponsors pay for who sees it, not for the house.
  • Keep signs off the city strip between the sidewalk and the road, which is often public right of way.

Questions

Do I need a permit for a yard sign?

Small temporary signs often do not, but it depends on your city. Check the local sign ordinance for size and time limits before you list.

Can my HOA stop me?

Yes. Many HOAs ban commercial signs. Read your covenants or ask the board before you take bids.

Will a sign hurt my home's value?

A temporary sign that comes down when the deal ends has no lasting effect. Avoid anything that needs holes in siding or brick.

How do brands find my house?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
