How to monetize your yard

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your yard, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a yard auction.

Get paid to put ads on your yard

Post a dated photo of each sign from the road, plus one wide shot of the yard. Retake it after storms in case a sign blew over.

Tips

  • Read your city sign ordinance and HOA rules. Many cap yard signs by size and say how long they can stay up.
  • Use stakes and straps only. Nothing that damages the lawn, trees or buried lines.
  • Do not place signs in the public strip by the road or where they block a driver's view at a corner.

Questions

How big can a yard sign be?

It depends on your city and HOA. Small temporary signs are often allowed, larger ones may need a permit. Check before you list.

What if the sign gets stolen?

Post a new photo once it is replaced. Say in your listing that you will replace a missing sign within a few days.

Can I list my yard if I rent the house?

Ask your landlord first. Most leases say you cannot put up signs without permission.

How do brands find my yard?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
