How to monetize your wall

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your wall, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a wall auction.

Get paid to put ads on your wall

Post a dated photo of the wall from the street, plus a wide shot that shows where it sits. For murals, add progress photos.

Tips

  • Large wall signs and murals often need a permit, and some cities count a painted ad as a sign. Call your planning office first.
  • Say which way the wall faces and what is in front of it: a road, a lot, a rail line.
  • If you rent, get the owner's written OK before you list.

Questions

Is a painted mural treated as a sign?

In many cities a mural with a brand name or logo counts as a sign and needs approval. Art with no branding may follow different rules.

Who pays for paint or printing?

Usually the sponsor. State it in your listing along with exact wall size.

What happens to the mural after the deal?

Agree on that up front. You can paint over it or let it stay if you both agree.

How do brands find my wall?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
