Your boat sits in a marina people walk past, anchors in busy coves and gets photographed from the shore. Pin the hull, the transom or a flag, get your price, and let waterfront businesses ask for the season.

How to monetize your boat

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your boat, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a boat auction.

Get paid to put ads on your boat

Post dated photos of each spot at the dock and on the water, plus a short clip or a photo from a known landmark on your route.

Tips

  • Keep registration numbers, documented vessel name and hailing port fully visible, as required.
  • Check marina rules and, if you race, the class and club rules on advertising.
  • Charter captains can sell a spot that every guest sees, which is a different offer from a private boat.

Questions

Can I put a logo on my sail?

Yes, but racing classes and clubs often limit advertising on sails. Check before a race.

Will vinyl damage gelcoat?

Marine grade removable vinyl usually comes off cleanly. Avoid leaving it on for many seasons.

Does my marina care?

Some marinas ban commercial signage on boats in slips. Ask the harbour office first.

How do brands find my boat?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
