How to monetize your parking lot

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your parking lot, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.

Tips

  • Light pole banners and entrance signs may need a sign permit. Check with your city.
  • Keep signs clear of traffic signs, ADA markings and fire lanes.
  • If you lease the lot, check your lease first.

Questions

Do I need a permit?

Often for big signs, sometimes not for small ones. Check your city code.

Can I sell a reserved stall?

Yes. A named stall is a simple, visible spot.

Who installs the banners?

Agree with the sponsor. Use a licensed installer for poles.

How do brands find my parking lot?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
