On Snapchat, the people who watch your Story are close followers, and the spots are quick: a Story snap, a link sticker, a Spotlight video. Pin them on a screenshot of your Story or profile, get your prices, and let brands come to you.

How to monetize your Snapchat

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your Snapchat, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a Snapchat auction.

Get paid to put ads on your Snapchat

Save each snap and send the screen recordings with dates, plus screenshots of your Story viewer counts. For Spotlight, share the link.

Tips

  • Use Snapchat's paid partnership tag if your account has it, and put 'ad' on screen. Stories vanish, so the disclosure must be in the snap itself.
  • Save every sponsored snap before it expires. Without it, you have nothing to post as proof.
  • Local brands fit Snapchat best. Say your city and who watches you in the listing.

Questions

Do I need a public profile?

It helps. A public profile shows your Story to subscribers and gives you a profile link spot to sell.

How does this compare to Snapchat's creator payouts?

Snapchat pays some creators from its own programs. A sponsor pays you directly, whether or not you are in one.

Can I prove reach on Stories?

Yes. Screenshot the viewer count on each sponsored snap before it expires.

How do brands find my Snapchat?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
