How to monetize your Airbnb

  1. List it. Upload a photo of your Airbnb, mark each spot and pick how you bill: per week, month, event or post. We set the price from reach, market and demand.
  2. Get requests. Brands find it in Browse and message you. Accept or decline.
  3. Get paid. The brand pays when you accept. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up.
  4. Or run an auction. Share a link and let brands bid. Start a Airbnb auction.

Get paid to put ads on your Airbnb

Post dated photos of each item in place inside the unit before a guest checks in. Repeat at each refresh during the deal.

Tips

  • Never collect guest data or add cameras or trackers for a sponsor. Discount codes let sponsors count redemptions without you sharing anything.
  • Read Airbnb's host rules and your local short term rental rules. Keep ads helpful and low key so they do not hurt reviews.
  • Pick sponsors guests would want anyway: the nearest breakfast spot, a rental shop, a grocery delivery service.

Questions

Will guests mind?

Most guests like local tips. Keep it to useful offers and avoid ads in bedrooms and bathrooms.

Can a sponsor get my guests' emails?

No. Do not share guest information. Use a discount code or QR code the guest chooses to use.

Can I sell a spot on my listing page?

No. Keep ads inside the home, not in your Airbnb listing text or photos.

How do brands find my Airbnb?

List it once. Brands browse spots by type, city and price and message you through SponsorMySpot. Your email stays private.

Who sets the price?

Our pricing engine, like a ride app. It prices each spot from what it is, how many people see it and the market you are in, and the price rises when brands are asking for that kind of spot near you. Owners pick how they bill: per week, month, event or post.

When do I get paid?

The brand pays when you accept their request. You are paid after you post proof that the logo is up. Payouts go to your bank through Stripe. The fee is 8 percent.

Can brands bid against each other instead?

Yes. Run an auction: each spot opens at your start price and any brand can take it by paying double. Cards are held, not charged, until bidding closes.
